If it looks like crap they can put a new bumper on it. KansasBill 07-07-2004, 12:56 AM Well, guess I didn't pay too much attention. Took mine in today for bumper rusting among other things. After I gave the TSB # and svc mgr came back said that only applied to GMCs (mine is Chevy). Said he couldn't find TSB for Chev. But he did refer me to his body shop where he said they would remove the rust, apply a preventative then paint the backside. I now look back thru this forum and everyone writing about the issue has a GMChttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif guess I'm the only Chevy with the problem. Anyway, in a week or so guess I'll go see the body shop. Bill Dave Lewis 07-07-2004, 06:45 AM Your not alone Bill, mine is rusting also. I just called the dealer yesterday because my rims are also rusting. We'll see what they do. Dave bigdog 07-07-2004, 08:37 AM I had mine done and it looks good. They put POR15 which is a glossy black (matches the truck color). I wonder if the rear bumper is also in danger of rusting too. I'd still like to replace the factory bumper with one of those extreme duty ones. | ||
