Background information:
I have an early '02 that was bought in Oct. of '01 so I believe it to have the '01 injectors. It currently has 57,000+ miles on it, had John Kennedy add a Post OEM Mega at about 40,000 which I have shown to the service manager at our dealership and he approved .... have also added FPPF Total Power every tank since adding the Mega (prior to then, ran Howe's every tank). Have run a Juice box (99.9% of the time at its lowest setting for almost 55,000 miles) ... Zero engine/transmissions issues to date....she's given me no reason to anticipate any. We plan to leave on May 29th pulling our 33' travel trailer on a trip that will take us just over 8,000 miles prior to getting back home in late July.
Questions:
Thoughts of being stranded for who knows how long due to injector failure (or anything else for that matter) on the trip have me really concerned. What is the likelyhood of our truck having injector problems on the trip (will probably have just over 60,000 on her when we leave)? Is there any test I can have run on our truck to see if the injectors may be going bad? Is there anything else I can do to help stack the odds in my favor?
Any info/advise would be greatly appreciated.
