P0335 - Crankshaft Position [CKP] Sensor A Circuit

Turned the key off and let it sit a minute. It would then start, but I couldn't get the SES light to go off by cycling the key, which I did several times. Just to see what would happen, I removed and reseated the Juice plugs and SES light went away. I did not erase the code with the quad. That was on Saturday. I hooked the quad up again today to erase the code after I drove it a couple of days to make sure everything was okay. Code was no longer there. Should I take it in and have it checked? I am thinking no, but just thought I would ask.

I have had several occasions of this happening over the last month. And just coincidentally, I installed the Juice/Atttitude combo in the last month. Same code - P0335. Prior to Juice installation there was never an occurence of this happening. So in my situation, it is definetly Juice related. Plug the Juice back in, make sure the connectors/pins are seated and see what happens. If the code pops up again, call Edge (like the many before you) and ask for an exchange. Seems like something is very marginal here in the design.

OC,

If it looks to be Juice related, itcould be programming. There have been a few cases where there have been no starts. There are some programs being tested at the moment to address this. Seems pretty rare, but not unique.

OC, all I did was unplug the juice and then plug it back in(removed and reseated). Juice has been on for approximately 2k miles. No prior problems. I did drive it hard to Nashville Saturday morning and it was by far the hottest day my truck has seen(82*), but I don't think that had anything to do with it. Truck is running great now, and ran the same with the SES light on. If it happens again and the same thing clears it, I may call Edge, but I'm not going to worry about it right now, as I have several bales to move in the next few days and after pulling them with the dmax, the old stroker just don't cut it.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

flhrciblueice,

There were some additional write-ups of the no start situation in this thread:

http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5618&PN=3

What happened in my situation is I tried to start the truck. It would crank but not start. Turned the key off completely and opened the door. This removed power to be completely from Juice/Attitude. Turned key on again and truck starts. I actually never had the SES light. I used a Predator to read the codes to see if anything was set and there was the P0335 code. I reset the code. A few days later the same thing happened from start. Same code present. Happened a total of three times. Has not happened for about a month now. However, I do not use truck much, only on weekends. If it happens again in your case, just turn the truck off completely and open the door. This cuts all power. Then re-start.

John,

Sounds good. It seems to be working fine right now. After the Edge software updates are available and tested, I will probably send the unit back to be updated. My guess is that something is on the edge (no pun intendedhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif) timing wise. My truck is just a 1% case. My biggest fear was the windshield wipers in the rain problem some were having. It seems to have passed that one with flying colorshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif. Great product for the price, been having a lot of fun!!

The factory ECM is what's storeing the code and if it sees three drive cycles without a fault it will clear the code by itself. This is only on some of the codes not all of them. They will all clear if you go 40 drive cycles with no trouble. So I'm betting that you drove your truck on three trips before you rechecked your codes.
