I'm planning to use one of these engines to make a diesel powered copy of a early Harley Davidson called a peashooter.

This is my last project. Honda OHV powered.

The next project will have a more conventional frame geometry and use a torq-a-verter along with 24" wheels. Should be actually a practical commuter.

I'll use some beach cruiser handlebars, another leather seat, and pick up a scrap fuel tank. I'll probably use disk brakes and a mountainbike fork.

Dan, who makes that diesel engine? I would like to try a Hatz diesel engine on a bike. I think there would be a small market for a diesel commuter motorcycle for people who commute a long way to work. Something that could do 70 mph and get at least 140 mpg.

A torq-a-verter is a assymetric belt device that allows for a "neutral" of sorts at idle but under load provides reduction as well as overdrive. Really good method of providing an automatic gearbox of sorts.

The bike in the photo uses a Visa gearbox that generates a 5:1 reduction.
