Well I had to borrow my neighbors point and shoot 25 dollar camera to post these but here they are. The filter has 9700 miles and I have run Primrose 405/409 with every tank. The filter looks dark gray not black. I didnt see any rust. I saw very little setiment in the filter can. There was no water anywhere. It looks like the Primrose is doing a great job.

I would say I could have gone another 3-5k miles. But the filters are cheap and 10k will be the change miles for me from now on.

Mine looked pretty much the same, maybe a little darker, at essentially the same mileage.
