I was just joking around with someone earlier today at the motocross track that it would be nice if the box would hydraulically drop to ground level behind the truck for loading bikes.

They would never use that, tooslow. I've seen it done:
They have a truck with a mattress or foam pad in it. they have a couple guys pull up to the bike, jump out, grab the bike and toss it in the back and take off. It takes all of 10 seconds!
