: Help!!!
CLUTCH BUSTER 02-16-2006, 11:17 PM :help: In November I had Evan Davis (crank it up diesel performance) put in a MACS two disc clutch and SMF. Today I was backing up to my gooseneck
and went to push in the clutch and the damn master cylinder for the clutch came THROUGH the firewall!! The round plastic housing that holds it in broke all the way around and it pushed the tabs through and now I can't move the truck. Has anyone ever heard of this, and if so what can I do? I really need this truck, b/c I have alot of hay that needs to go south, like right now! any and all help/suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance!:help:

CLUTCH BUSTER 02-16-2006, 11:36 PM Hey thanks Iread the post, and it sounds like it going to be a pain in the ***! But I did get a P/N and price, so atleast I have somthing to go by.
Thanks again Caleb, and I'll let you know how it goes!
duramaxedout 02-17-2006, 04:25 PM So CLUTCH BUSTER, what do you think caused this issues to happen? Think it was caused from the pedal being so hard? Think the fingers on the pp are too stiff?
kkhamil23 02-18-2006, 12:01 AM Is there any way that the line came off the master cylinder. Or did the master cylinder give out. Let us know what you find out. That really sucks, if you were a little closer I would be more than happy to help you out.

Nope, that clutch is set up perfect, i put it in myself and was one of the best ones to date.
CLUTCH BUSTER 02-18-2006, 10:02 PM My opinion, is when the junk DMF setup was in the truck and the pedal kept getting very hard to push in, just weakened the damn thing, and it was only a matter of time before it gave out. I got the part ordered and will be here on monday, now I'm just trying to figure out HOW to get it out. It is the whole pedal assembly and it looks to be a pain in the *** to change. I have the dash tore out now, and starting to take thedriver seat out now to give me more room. I'll let you guys know how it goes, Thanks!
powerchoker 02-18-2006, 10:18 PM it only takes about 10 min to change if u need an extra one i have one for sale. i changed it thinking that it was my problems. the piece is only held in by turning it and it locks in place. then u need to disconect the electrical connection and hydro line. the new one comes preblead.

I dont need the master cylinder, I need the whole assmebly that holds it to the firewall. But thanks for the offer!
CLUTCH BUSTER 02-27-2006, 08:04 AM Hey guys, goth the damn thing changed finally! After taking out the driver seat, and the brake pedal, I goth the damn thing twisted out and the new one twisted in. What a pain in the ***! Hope you guys never have to go through this, I wouldn't wish that job on my worst enemy! If it happens to anyone else I'll be glad to talk to ya, and if your close enough, I'll drive that way and help ya out!:ro)
