When you program fore more power (ie 40, 65, 85, 100) does your rpm's go down at a given speed since youy are producing more power. Bottom line, if you presently are doing 2000rpm at 65mph, will you be turning less rpm at the same spped when you increase power?

No it won't since you are still mechanically connected from the crank to the wheels. When you add power you are able to make the engine increase it's rpm rate faster thus making the wheels pick up speed faster. The on'y way to lower the rpm's for a given speed is to increase tire size, change the gear ratio or add another OD gear in the trans.

What you will notice is that you don't have to keep the pedal pressed as far down to do the same speed.
