I was reading through the service manual for my dads truck and had a few ?'s. It shows to use the oil life monitor or 15K miles for the first oil change. I am trying to tell him to change the oil at 10K along with the fuel filter and Allison spin-on. Has anyone seen something different in the manuals? Why would the maintenance interval bee longer in a MDT? Bigger oil capacity?
