i have a lly with hypertech on 3, no kitty,egr disconected,soon to be straight piped or cool duels, my question is will a afe stg 2 do much for me or should i save my money. i would like better spool,mileage,whistle. opinions?

it will give u a little spool and whistle as far as milige i havent noticed any significant increase

For the whistle absolutly for performance absolutly not

You can get close to the same amount of whistle from swiss cheese your airbox and getting an AFE Proguard 7 drop in filter. Mine isn't much louder than when I had the K&N filter on with the stock airbox. Save some bones for your exhaust or just get the stage one if you have to have a cold air intake. I wouldn't have bought one if I knew what I know now.

I got a great deal on mine. $200 stage 2. I just like the way it looks under the hood too. I dont have my exhaust yet, I think that I will be able to tell a little bit louder turbo then.

If all you want is whistle cut up the stock box, if you want more air flow the AFE Stage II wil do it. I have mentioned many many times that you don't buy an intake system for HP you buy it for CFM flow, although they do make some HP a s a bonus! If you add fuel you need to add air and you need to be able to get rid of it too. The AFE will egt you whistle and flow rate at the same time that will drop EGT's spool up the turbo sooner and some HP as well. If you have any questions call us at the office.

The whistle sounds awsome. a noticable drop in the egt's. I think the price is a little high, but overall i am happy with it.:)

i just picked up a flopro 4" tb exhaust for a smokin deal $100 and can get a not bad deal on the stg 2,so we`ll se what the exhaust does and go from there.
