2004.5 = 310/590
2005 = 310/605
2006 = 310/605 (LLY)
2006 = 360/650 (LBZ)

I think so anyway :)

yeah I saw that article in Diesel Power also...I hate it when magazines get things WRONG not in our favor...

they mixed up the LLY and Powerstroke specs. 6.0 is 565 IIRC, LLY is 590/605

Since the question has been answered, I've been pondering a question. It appears that the LLY has a tad less ooomph than the LB7, despite higher flywheel numbers. I don't really know how those tests/motors are configured, EPA equipped, etc.

Think of the diffs between LB7 and LLY

Does anyone have a rational hunch as to why the LLY would deliver less in the truck than it does on the test rack? I have my own, just wanted to know what you guys think.

The only time I've noticed less power is when you first get in it. Don't know if it's EGR, VNT, or what. A friend has an LB7 that is stronger at first but mine will slowly walk away once I get past that dreded lag.

My understanding is that the LLY has 300/520 in 1st and 5th and 310/590(605) 2nd 3rd and 4th.

So you have no advantage on the takeoff just flat punching them. But as you denote, LLY's consistently outrun LB7's stock for stock.

I guess it is just LB7 owners, think the LLY is a dog. Owner pride.
