Service 4wd light came on ,Dealer said 4wd switch(in dash) malfunction.
Has anyone changed one of these.
How do you get it out?
Special tools ?

I replaced one on my 2000 Z71... Took me 30 minutes total. Not a big deal at all..

Snap off the dash bezel. Look at the new switch to see where the lock tabs are. Use a small screwdriver to release the locks on the old switch. Unplug the wires from the back of the old switch. Plug in the new switch and snap it into the dash. Snap the dash bezel back on and smile while you think of the $50-100 you saved from the stealer install price.
