I found a fuel cell that will fit where the spare tire sits. It holds 20 gallons. You would just have to rig up a fill/transfer line and brackets. But the price is right.

They actually have nato/mil spec tanks not on the web page (but in the paper catalog) that look even better.

For 200 dollars you have money to buy the accesories. It turns your 25 gallon into 45 gallon for 300 or less.

Keep in mind that those are all gasoline cells and there may be some materials compatibility issues with diesel.

Im not sure, but I would really think that if it could handle gasoline, it would have no problem with diesel. ....maybe the issue of water sitting on the bottom with diesel?

Try getting the tank that is supplied with the chassis cabs! It is setup right from GM to do the transfering and all... It may be pricy, but at least we know that it will fit and all of the brackets will already be made up. Some of the wiring and plumbing will be your own concoction, but that's the game!

BTW... Where will you put your spare? I wouldn't leave home without one.

I'd rather put my 50 gallon tank in the bed when I need it for long trips. Takes the same space as the spare tire would and I get 30 more gallons.
