i have a 2002 chevy 3500 D/A and i noticed today while under the hood checking the oil that one of the battery's little green eyes has turned black does this mean that the battery is going bad also i noticed that the fuel gauge is acting up would this have sometime to do with the battery if so what is a good battery to replace the two in the truck.

well after a week of not knowing what amount of fuel i had in the tank i finally took it into the dealer and low and behold it was a shorted fuel sending unit they replaced and all is well now
