Okay, FedEx showed up today and of coarse I ripped open the box and installed that puppy. Looks GREAT and installed very easy. Now my system is complete.....high volume air enters the Volant AirIntake System, engine tuned to Stage 3 with the HyperTech programmer and exhaust flowing out thru the Banks Monster Exhaust System. Now that is tuned!!!!!

Here is a pic of the Volant installed in MY RIG:

Well installed it today and let the rig get use to its new lungs. Then drove it up and down the street infront of my house. Breaths good and no extra noises. Seems like it just flows in and out my Banks.

Beautiful looking unit! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

I'm kinda concerned about the MAF relocation though, some have had trouble with codes being set. Let us know.

Just kiddin', I was wondering if the front was open or just the side by the fender?

Grasshoppe:.

You are correct. Side opening and there is an round opening at the bottom. But remember, the BIGGER round filter for 360* of flow and the LARGER smooth intake tube.

Trippin:

I feel and believe that the relocation of the MAF if a better design. You hear so many problems with the MAF getting clogged with oil with K&N OEM and other air intake systems. I think that since it is located further down the tube that you have a better chance that it will not get oil on it.

Ya man Iknow they work ggod, Like I said previous we have used them on chev gas and ford diesels, the only pain we had was remouving the filter without damage!!

Hey Wagon, you cut into the box? Where did you do it? Why?

Texas Red Wagon

check your filter in 2 months. you'll have just the bottom side very dirty. I felt I needed more air. The air intake is only the size of a baseball.

Ya the hole a the bottom but what about the side opening? Think its getting air from there also...right? Did you cut an opening in the box by your headlamp?

Texas Red Wagon

Side opening goes up against the fender well. How much air are you really getting from there
