Just wondering if anyone out there has an LLY that they have ran enough or pulled enough with to recomend. Please tell me if there is a noticeable difference between the LLY and LB7. thank you

Although i only have 200 km on my LLY, I absolutely love it !!

It has lots of power and a very sexy singing turbo which the LB7 did`nt have. I would recommend taking one out for a "spin"

I agree, I only have 800 miles on my 04 - 3500 Crew Cab, and it is a night and day difference from the 03 I test drove and the 04 I purchased. The 04 shifts sooo much smoother than the 03, the 03 kicked me in the *&^ at every shift point, and the 04 just floats through the gears.

I have about 1300 on mine and love it. I test drove the LB7 and I noticed a difference! Plus the turbo is awesome. I didn't realize how loud the turbo was until I rolled the passenger side window down the other day while getting on the freeway-WOW. I was told that once I take the CAT and the muffler out the turbo spools much quicker and sounds like a 747!!! I can't wait to find out.

3,000 miles but haven't towed yet. No juice so it's hard to compare.

Mr. Mister- You are absolutely right. First thing I did was tear out the stock restrictive system and put on a 4" system. No cat and a straight through muffler will have you singing like an F-16!

Are you still using the stock airbox and filter?

If you are expecting to smoke the tires from a stoplight, you will be disappointed. Come 20-30mph, it comes alive and will put you back in the seat. Freeway merging is A++.

The most I've hauled with it is 2500lb, and you couldn't even feel it. Not a noticeable loss of acceleration.

Yes, I am still running them for now.

I just took delivery off mine and have about 275 miles on it . It is not running as well as my 2002 did yet BUT it is much quiter in the caband I love the folding mirrors and steering wheel controls with the information center. The most loved option is the electronic climate control. I had 35000 miles on my 2002 and liked it very much. Only problem i ever had was the Alternator needed replaced at 22000.

The main reason I traded was because I had a total of $10,000 off sticker with all the rebates and GM Card deals and my dealer gave me a reasonable trade in Amt.

I will be pulling an 8000 lb 30 ft. camping trailer to N.C. in one month so I will update it's pulling compared to the 2002 on the same trip last year and will post the results toward the end of April.

Love my lly, just picked up in Feb. put 2000mi's feels great, first diesel I owned ( never going back to gas) power is amazing. My 2001 had 6.0 with plenty of power, but this truck totally blew me away with it's power, Last diesel pickup I rode in was early 90's and it was a lug, LOVE the turbo sound, the ride is comfortable, great dual climate, lots of room. Going to put some mods. in the future and I'll show pic's. VERY SATISFIED with truck the way it is but ya know http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gifboys must play, All this power with great fuel mpg WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FORhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

I took delivery of my LLY on 3/5 and have 6200 miles to date. Many miles were put on in the 85 mph area with total average mph being 54. Pulling nothing but g's. Love this truck.

The LLY just purrs at 85. Combined with XM and the Bose.... How sweet it is!

Looking for a good reason to take another trip.

I got my LLy on 2/5. I love it. I own a landscape company and I have been working it to death. The power is Awesome! So much better than my 6.5 junk!!! And The tranny rocks! I have had 14000lbs behind it and just pulls right on. I agree with rolling the windows down the turbo does sing. Gotta love that!

I took delivery of my LLY on Feb.1,04 and have 10,000 miles to date. This is my 4th dmax ,each year it is better, the LLY is a lot faster then LB7 ,I would almost think the LLY is a bit louder at higher speed's ,at idle it is a lot quiter, the high idle is very nice ,it starts a lot quicker then the LB7.The power is so nice I don't miss my juice yet.My LB7 the juice was always set at #4 towing or not and never had eney problems. There is nothing bad about LB7.I put 120,000 miles on each year on each truck.I ally shifts alot different. I change my shocks (Bilsteins) to new truck each year.

I got my LLY the first part of March. It has about 800 miles on it and my wife has been driving it for the last week. I drove it over the weekend and it has more power over the last week! IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETER! The turbo is also getting loader. I have a 30 ft fiver and haven't pulled it yet but can't wait. I traded in a 2001 2500 with a 6.0 gas motor. The LLY has more get up and go and snap then the 6.0. I was afraid the LLY would have slow throttle response and not have much snap after trying a Power Stoke boy was I wrong. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO GAS! I JUST LOVE IT.

I have driven both. I don't see much of a difference in power. The lly is a dually and would never keep up with my stock 2500HD in a race. However, the lly has a better response. The lly only has 2000 miles and the lb7 has 4000 miles. I love both trucks.

Only 1 week & 400 miles so far, but like it. It replaced my 2003 6.0 gas crew cab, which I liked as well. I am hoping that the LLY will be a little more friendly at the fuel pump, and will buck the wind a little better with the pickup camper on board. If nothing else, it feels like an HD truck compared to the gasser!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

I only have hed mine a few days but have 450 miles on it so far.

My trucks computer dosen't know I have 285s on it but it's fuel calculations are almost right on with my corrected by hand numbers. It seems like the DIC reads a bit high for MPG when using stock tires. But with 285s it is really close.

Highway only, Actual MPG = 18.5. Combined total since new is 14.6 MPG. Again this was checked by hand to be sure.

I have no complaints about turbo lag. It is fine down low, but when it is spooled up... DAMN it is nice!

Now I need to find something REALLY BIG to tow!
