<DIV class=postcolor>Anyone tried these guys? Brian was really patient and helpful with my questions on my 2004 6.0 running 87 oct and seemed very confident in what he could offer me. I have talked with Nelson and Westers and Nelson said they could do something with my truck but couldnt elaborate, and Westers said they couldnt get much out of it. The cost is half with PCM for Less.
Thanks.

Need more info, are you talking for a 6liter only or a Duramax? Do they have a website?

I emailed Brian about a year & 1/2 ago to see if he would be offering DMAX PCM services and he said that he would not. It would be great if he changed his mind because he has a fine reputation from the IMPALA SS forums. I bet he could crack the code on the speedo calibrations for '01s. I would be interested to see what Mr. Herter does in regards to our trucks. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Why couldn't Westers help you? They seem to have a much better rep than the others you listed. He has an 87oct. tune, and while you wouldn't get the power that the "HOT" tune gives, you should still see the absense of the torque management, speed limiter, and firmer shifts. Plus tire size changes.
PCM for less seems to lean real hard on the Camaro's and cars and older stuff. Prices do seem cheap, but I'd need a bit more "references" to bite with anyone but Westers.

Lawnboy--I was surprised too. I am not sure if it is because its a 04 6.0 or what. But when I called Lyndon, he said that he cant get much out of the 6.0 without pinging it at 87 octane. Allen Nelson said he can get a good bit more out of it than Hypertech and Bryan says he can get more than Hypertech also at half the price.
