I'm checking to see if any of you have done this and what the circumstances where. I tried the search and could find anyone that has actually put the tranny in limp mode. Alot say it will at the 110+ setting...but no actual stories...

For the last several weeks I've been running mine at 110+ and have been pretty hard on it. Put it this way my mileage went for 16-17 to 13 in the last two weeks(two tanks fulls).

I hear alot of people going into limp mode with the predator set at 85 ...so I'm not sure why. I did notice that when you compare dyno charts that the predator puts out alot more torque compared to the VA box,so I not sure if that is what is making a difference between the two

Depends which box version it is, but the general release was always 130HP rated (110 or so to the wheels) and could easily limp my trans when stock in 5th gear. With the LLY, I would suggest sticking to the low setting on the stock transmission.
