I would like to know if anybody have had an issue with this. My 2WD has a light vibration that can be heard and felt at the steering wheel, it happens at 45 mph and 1700 rpm in 5th and also at around 52 mph and same rpms in 6th gear, also sometimes a light clank clank is heard, this happens when you are mantaining the speed and not when you are accelerating through it. I took the truck to the dealer and the service manager drove it and duplicated the vibration and noises.
They check it and call and inform me that everything had checked OK, they kept it another day and today a factory tech took it out with what they told me was "chassis ears" but could not find where the vibration comes from. The tech will come back on Monday to check further but the Svce Mngr told me that at this point they think that could be an "inherent" problem that happens when the engine is at top torque and the tranny torque converter kicks in and out.
I need to know if anybody else has experienced this or if other members with LBZ CC SB DO NOT experience this, also any ideas will be greatly appreciated

Thanks for posting the link, those are 4WD and they do it in 4WD only, my truck is a 2WD. Any thoughts?

I have a really good feeling that your problem is your u joints. I had a vibration in my truck when I hit 40mph and would go away at 50 mph. I thought it was the tires slightly out of balance. Also, I heard a clunking noise when I backup or accelerated forward. After I heard the clunking I suspected the u-joints. I replaced all three on my truck and I tell you what. Its runs much better. I don't hear anything when I backup or accelerate and the vibration I had is gone!! It only cost me $12.50 per U-Joint at Autozone. $37.50 isn't bad. And its easy to do.

After reading the entire post it may not be what I thought it was. Sorry.

This sounds like the classic out of balance tire/s.....That has been checked, right? Try rotating the front tires/wheels to the rear....I know it sounds too simple to be true, but has that been checked?

The light clunking may very well be the famous steering intermediate shaft clunk issue that these trucks have had since '99...My 05 started the clunking at only 2k miles...

Good luck

Mike

Edit:

After re-reading your post, it sounds engine RPM dependent...if that has been verified, I'm probably wrong...
