New from St. Joseph, MO. I was heading down the Belt Highway today and saw a white Duramax with the web address on the back window. We raced as much as we could in traffic. I have a '99 Dodge 2500 with HX-40 turbo, DDIII injectors and a custom Power Max Competition. Of the 9 settings on it anything over 4, which I was using today drops my fuel pressure to negative numbers which scares me. I have run larger fuel line and taken out the banjo bolts but still have the factory lift pump mounted on the frame rail by the tank. What do you guys recommend for feeding more fuel?

As for lift pumps if you talk to St Joe Diesel they would be able to recommend a good one, they put a FASS fuel system on my buddies 99 dodge, its located a little north of St Joe right off I-29. Now for my next question, did you beat my truck:lol: :joke: . I wonder what they had the programmer set on:think: . I know one thing the belt sure is a good place to race ricers, maybe we will meet up sometime, im from weston which is just south of st joe.

Hey there Rob. I hoped I would catch whoever owned the truck on here. I will have to say that is the best running truck I have raced before. You should be quite happy when you get it back. I have gotten a few parts at St. Joe Diesel but never talked to them about upgrading my fuel system. I had heard about the FASS at one point but wasn't sure if it was still considered the best move. I think when I get my tax refund I will look into getting one of them though. The PMax box I have was designed for a TT sled pulling truck and the guy I bought it from said that I needed to be really carefull about letting the fuel pressure to the main pump get too low. I am familiear with Weston since I make it down to KC quite often. What all are they doing to your truck?
Oh and for the outcome I would have to say it was a stalemate with me. We only had one good run and we were neck and neck. I tried reaching over to kick my box up to five but by that time I was grabbing for 5th and we had to stop for a light with cars stopped at it. With the two of us putting out such ungodly amounts of smoke you couldn't even see cars or lanes behind them. And it was a nice sunny day! LOL

Its getting tranny work done-:t . As far as a fuel system im really not sure what works best on dodges, im probably just gonna put twin lift pumps on my truck, but i know 4 people with FASS to chevys and two dodges and they both love them, the only thing is they say they can't let their tank get to low on fuel or it wont start, im pretty good freinds with most of the guys up their and the Manager, hes out of town now but i can talk to him and tell him your coming and he might give you a deal, im hopefully picking up my truck tomorrow and can talk to the guys and see what they say they install the most, they do quite a bit of work on dodges. Maybe ill take a cruise down the belt....What colors you truck ill keep an eye out for you next time? Also just for a heads up this year at the platte county fair there having a truck and tractor pull one night instead of 2 mudathons. There should be a lot of trucks and they pay offs good. There is two classes street diesel and pro stock i beleive, i beleive they payoff for street is 1500bones and more for pro stock:ro) . Sorry for the long post.

I haven't ever pulled mine and don't think I ever will. Too worried about breaking something really expensive. LOL Next time they have a dyno day down somewhere in KC though I would really like to get mine on there and see what it does. I actually changed my fuel filter today and that put my fuel pressure way back up. It wasn't that old but I had been running some Bio-diesel and after looking around on the net I have heard that can cause gunk in the tank to come loose.
I will get a pic of my truck up on here. It is a dark green club cab, long bed, with a crhome push bar on the front.

Keith, Rob has his new tranny in and i am sure would love to race a dodge. I have a 99 Dodge that runs good and wouldn't think about racing him. Its very fast and i am sure will make big hp numbers when SJD gets their dyno up and goen.
