dieseldave01 02-07-2006, 05:06 PM i have a bone stock 01 duramax, today i took out tail pipe and muffler, from the 4 bolt flange back, i then gutted the muffler of all its contents and reinstalled it all, then fire it up and kinda disapointed in the somewhat quite sound. i do not have a cat. does anyone hav anysug. on a better option to liven up my maxer. thanks SmokeShow 02-07-2006, 05:21 PM Assuming you aren't looking to buy an aftermarket exhaust or muffler, you could just completely take the muffler out and put a pipe in its place. That should livin it up as much as anything can.
