tip - pipe - muffler - pipe - frontpipe - downpipe - turbo

frontpipe back would be from the frontpipe pipe and back. the catylitic converter is on the front pipe and replacing it would ditch the cat.

it means that it is a front pipe back system so it deletes the cat and is better than a cat back

Lots of exhaust manufacturers make turbo or cat back systems. On the GMC most exhaust systems are manufactured to connect from the front pipe band clamp back.

So that is why they say Front Pipe Back.
