XM satellite radio is new in Canada and I'm curious how GM attaches this option. I've ordered a GMC SLT :) with the XM radio and my dealer didn't have much to offer when asked. Is the satellite radio integrated into the AM/FM/CD changer or is it a separate unit/device?

Welcome to the Place!
XM is a separate box that is mounted behind the glovebox on the HVAC housing. It plugs into the back of the radio, and then you can select XM on the radio just like you do AM and FM.

Thanks for the reply's. I've been reading with some interest about the nav upgrades. Since the XM sat option has been around the US for some time, I can assume that the nav head units will support the XM radio receiver? Thanks again.
