My tranny's been going into safe mode and boosting line pressure. The boost in line pressure has been causing the aux. tranny cooler lines to leak. Can someone explain how to removed the hose on the tranny side? The dealer told me you have to push it in and twist?? Didn't know how hard to push or how hard to twist.. twist left or right? Would have prefered a nut with flange connection myself..

Thanks..

I think they have a plastice washer looking ring around a metal clip. There is a tool you can push in there that goes around the cooler line or remove the clip and the line will just pull out.

I just took another look.. Is that it? Just remove the clip and it pops out? Thanks! I'm having the tranny replaced tomorrow. I will be surprised if the dealer doesn't mention the leaking cooling line. Since they will have to detatch when changing the tranny maybe they will only charge me the cost of the parts. Looks pretty easy.. Thanks again!

So today I thought about calling another dealer just to get the price of the new lines so when the dealer doing the work calls at least I have a number to compare.. Turns out the lines are oil cooling lines.. not tranny. Yea, I feel like a putts.. At least the connectors are the same..

might have to work it a bit, but that's all - just a clip and you're done. Be sure the clip is nice and tight before you put it back in (or replace it). They tend to open up once removed.
