I see that Idaho CTD has posted pics of my new twin turbo's. Had a nice chat with Diesel Tech and my new TTS is being shipped this week. I can hardly wait to see how it all works. Mucho thanks to IDAHO CTD for a beautiful install. Now I have to talk Kennedy into coming to Montana and have another race up that mountain.:grd:

LLY- Idahorob, Sp33d, Opz01, and Myself
LB7 - Got Juice?, Subman

I wasn't sure how many LLY's there are, all I knew for sure was IdahoRob and Sp33d. I know for a fact that there are only 2 Idaho CTD turbo's for LB7's Juice's and mine. Mine was used for the blue prints hence a little longer to get it. Love the blue.

I'v been running mine for about 2.5 months and put on about 6,000 miles on them. If I redo the coatings( I want to coat the turbos) I think I'll go Orange, when you pop the hood the twins "pop" out anyway, why not make them bright ( duramaxdiesel aka Nick, will have his Red for sure)

I also thing Nastygirl is expecting LB7 twins as well.

With the twin setup, where did the passenger side battery go?

We threw it out.

Useless weight.:eek::lol:

In box mounting, frame mouting, anywhere you want it now EXCEPT the engine compartment;)

Other than some serious bling, What's the benefit to a twin set up.

Look in my garage, there a pic of mine, its in a Battery Box mounted on the frame ahead of the pass side rear tire, its also coated in gravel guard.

Your stock turbo makes less than 30psi, with the Twins we can make up to 65-70psi. Insted of have to use NO2 to burn up extra fuel to make HP, We use Boost, so It like have a NO2 bottle on all the time without having to refill it. Also we have very low EGT, Since the Twins I have not seen EGT above 1100 degrees, and that's with a 10,000lbs trailer, going uphill at 75mph in the passing lane!

Has anyone with twins used efilive yet to change the stock turbo psi. I wonder how much it will make after you change it

No way can the stocker come close in volume or pressure to the big one:rolleyes:

You can always crank the stocker up too if you are feeling brave enough. 70 PSI IS available if you have studs done and want to go that high.

Edit: Manual WG LB7 cannot control boost eith EFI Live. Only the VVT turbos can be controlled with it.

70 psi I bet that would be a fun ride:D

The manufacter( IdahoeCTD) recomend no more that 65psi with headstuds for a daily driver, you could go 70psi but it is unknow what the head gaskets will do,even with studs. Also to get that kind of psi you need fuel to make it, its not as easy as turing up a dial, one(fuel) effects the other(overall boost). That the avantage of Westers or EFI they can add fuel to build boost until they reach the max fuel of what the CP3 can provide.

Stock turbo don't last long above 35psi for extended periods of time, PPE and Fingers(via kenndy) can add boost to the VVT, so can Wester's and EFI.

Think the sweet spot is going to be limiting the VVT to a certain boost, then letting the big charger take over. VVT has some major drive pressures when over 30psi.

I don't have any idea what that psi for the VVT will be, but I opened a new box today that said EFI live on it.:D Stay tuned.

will be testing some new big fuel tunes in the am for the bd turbo at 50psi, lyndon feels their still is lots of room in the tune to find to feed the big air chargers, you guys all have big flowing fuel pumps i hope, makes a big difference in overall fuel the stock cp3 can make in wot runs, i see 3.5 lbs on wot runs, and soon will be upgrading to have a minumum of 7lbs...

we have seen rail pressure drop to less than 20000psi with 3psi, aftermarket cp3 and liftpumps will maintain closer to 27000, to the rail

Thats the million dollar question, how much power is posable on a daily driver without drugs, once we get a CP3 to matian rail press at WOT

Nathan are the twin kits now available for the LB7? Did that other "big" charger fit? Man I'm going nuts over here. This should be a good year for LB7's

Nick

Hi Nick, Nathan is currently driving back from Dallas to Boise with the 01 Duramax he bought. He used my truck as the setup and it is my understanding that the production twins for the LB-7 will be available in the next couple of weeks. I headed over to pick mine up probably on Tues with my new TTS Extreme under my arm so should be interesting drive home. Too bad it's calling for snow most of the week.
