Hey guys i have a '02 cummins with about 34k miles and a 6 spd trans. Lately i have been experiencing prblems when i go to start it. Usually whenever i start it warm or cold weather it just cranks for a long time. About 90% of the time it does this and the rest of the time it starts right away. It usually cranks for about 5-20 secs and if it doesnt start i stop and try again and after cranking for a while it usualy starts. I replaced the fuel pump with no help from that. I also have a superchips computer chip on it and am wondering if that could be causing it possibly a bad chip. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as to what could be causing this.

Thanks.

0cummins2,

First thing I would do is remove the Superchips and then disconnect the batteries for about 10-15 minutes to clear the memory. From the TDR and dieseltruckresource.com it seems there's a few owners having problems with the Superchips tuner.
