3 quart bottles??http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif Walmart has 1 gallon bottles (4 qts.) which is what I buy. I've never seen 3qt bottles before! I just did my first oil change this weekend. I bought 3 gallons, and have 1/2 gal. left over. On my next oil change, I'll only need to buy 2 gal.

here in michigan we have 2.5 gallon jugs. perfect 10 quarts every time. and it is about 16 dollars a jug too.

I don't use Rotella but it is right next to the Delvac 1300.


I think that the 1 quart bottles are on the 2nd shelf from the top.


When I shop for diesel oil I never look for quart containers. Cheaper in bulk.


I don't even buy oil for my honda in quarts anymore. Found out I could save a couple of bucks buying the 5 quart containers.

I saw one qt. bottles at Menards lumber yard/everything store.

Autozone carrys it.

I just buy 5 one gallon jugs at a time whenever Walmart has the synthetic for $12.88 (or so). I change my oil often enough (almost monthly) that I don't worry *too* much about moisture building up in the resealed container.


Does anyone happen to know the shelf life of resealed motor oil?

Walmart around here carries the 1 gallon jugs as well as the 1 qt. bottles. As far as price goes, it fluxuates between $5.98 - $6.27 a gallon and the 2 Walmarts in town aren't always the same price. Same with the qt bottles, $1.58 - $1.74. Rotella Syn runs $12.82 a gallon no qt. bottles. Rural King runs a sale every now and then @ $6.09 a gallon.
