Hello! I was wondering what Air filter assemblys you all are using. I own a landscape company and was thinking of getting a new airfilter intake and assembly. I think I have seen one that is called the Cold air system?
1. What is a good brand?
2. Will it help fuel milage any?
3. Will they void the Warranty?
4. Is it a bad idea to go this route and take a chance on hurting my engine?
Thanks!

optimax----congrats on your new ride! My question is why the need to change the air filter assy. on a new vehicle? Are you racing it? Do you run off road in severe dust or mud? Do you plan to modify the engine to the point it simply cain't breath with the stock air filter? IMHO money spent on after market air filters is wasted. Oiled filters are "sexy" and foam filters are "cool" but plain old stock is more than adequate for most folks. Now that I've said this I'm going to put on my fire suit and wait for the flames to arrive.---------http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif----Phil

I felt that the new airfilter Assembly would be more benefical on breathing. I tow a lot and own a landscape company. Mostly highway and in town driving.

Read the thread on "Air Filter Tests" on this 4M. I think it will, eventually, answer all of your questions.
