:help: I have a friend of mine that has a 2005 D/A that we recently installed a Edge Juice with attitude programmer in combination with a K&N intake and AFE 4" exhaust. the problem is when turned up on level five on the programmer the truck will rip off the line and go like HE** but when backed out of the throttle after one of these tears and going back to crusing the Service Engine Light comes on and the truck has no power and acts like it has a rev limiter I have herad of this limp mode and I suspect this is what is happening if you shut the truck off and start it back up it is all back to normal but the light is still on for a while before that goes out...the EGT probe with the EDGE is not installed yet because I did not have the correct tap for the job at the time, could this be causing it? does anyone know what is happening and why it is limping all the time?

ANY INFO WILL HELP!!
THANKS

Don't guess, get it scanned for codes.

probably 1093 but check for codes. If it is 1093 do a search and sit back, relax and read, read, read.

1093 is Fuel Rail Low During Power Enrichment.

The fix is to "shim" the FPRV (fuel pressure relief valve) so it doesn't pop so soon.

Do a search on 1093 and you will find the instructions on how to do that.
