We have come across a Dyno that has been sitting for about 3 years it is a chassis dyno I can get it for a Pretty good price. Not sure of the details right now but what should i look for. All I know is that the Guy wants to get rid of it. Him and his partner had a falling out and he got the Dyno but has no where to put it so He Is going to be selling it. I believe it is a IN ground chassis dyno not sure of the make and model but what should I ask and also what should I look for to see what model make it is?? I know that there are some better then others. I will try and find more out tomm, but was just wondering what you guys thoughts would be on this??

Thanks

You need to know what type it is and how it's been stored. If it's a water brake type dyno and it been sitting it could cost major bucks to repair if stored inproperly. Fine out what it is and how its been used. If it's still operational gotake alook at it prior to buying it.

Also if you plan to test diesels, check the torque rating, most dyno's don't read the amount of torque we make.

Usually for every 1 hp you make 2 lbs of torque, the guy with drugs or turbo are usually are over 1200ft/lbs.
