: Stacking Juice/***. w/ Predator
GatorRam 03-12-2004, 08:27 PM We've already got a juice/***. on my dads '04 and we were wondering If we were to stack the Predator should we take off the juice first? Also for those of you that have run this setup, what kind of results did you get?
Thanks,
Adam
BMDMAX 03-13-2004, 01:46 AM I used to stack the HJ 125 with the Predator 80 or 100 tune. It was good for 440 to 460 horses on my truck. You will need a modded tranny and it does shift a little flaky due to the predator, at least the earlier tunes anyway.
It does get warm fast though. Gotta watch the EGT's.
GatorRam 03-13-2004, 10:24 AM Thanks for the reply. Do you have to take the Juice off first to get the Predator to install properly?

GatorRam 03-15-2004, 07:49 PM Anybody?
Max Power 03-15-2004, 07:52 PM Apparantly not. Never tried it myself but several have told me that you don't have to remove the juice to install a tune.
BMDMAX 03-15-2004, 10:17 PM Nope, never had to take it off. Worked like a charm every time.
MaxFarmer 05-25-2004, 04:28 PM I just put the predator programming on my truck last night. I unhooked the edge juice just to be sure I got my factory backup right. I only ran the 65 HP program so far. Without the juice on 65 HP felt around the same as the juice on stage 3. When I hooked the juice back up on top of the predator...oh man. I drove a little and worked my way though the stages. I'm sure eveyone wants to know about juice at 5... LOTS OF SMOKE, a little warmer EGTs, A lot faster! I didnt run my G-tech on it, but with my torsion bars cranked and my 285's I couldnt go much over 107 with just the edge/juice...last night I hit 115 no prob and decided to back off.
I think EGT's are still the big limiting factor! Otherwise, I am very impressed with the diablo. Its not the upgrade a juice with attitude monitor would be, but its definately a great add-on in my opinion.
If I get some time, I may do a couple G-tech pro runs and post before/after numbers.

motovet 05-26-2004, 05:59 PM Who has used the Pred. with the Hot Attitude level 5 ? I haven't tried any stacking yet as the Stage 3 is at least a week out but.... I think the Predator I have is a 1.04 if it matters.
dmaxalliTech 05-26-2004, 06:01 PM i have a pred 1.03 with the HJAT. anything over level 2 on the pred turns truck into a dog when stacked with HJAT. For what its worth, my daily driver combo is level 1 on pred and HJAT on five.
motovet 05-26-2004, 06:56 PM Thanks Eric. I have some buyers remorse on the kit but am excited to realize the true power.
White Duramax 05-26-2004, 08:56 PM Get your tuner updated, the new tunes are better, stronger and cooler. I have a 1.04 but have custom tunes that are identical to whats on the 1.10+ versions.
motovet 05-26-2004, 09:02 PM The new tunes any better for stacking though? I will stick with the H/attitude for sure. As John already said maybe I should just forget the idea anyway....just thought since I have one and will soon have the holding power....
MaxFarmer 05-27-2004, 12:10 AM I'm having no problems with stacking so far! I have the 1.11 version with the HJ/Attitude. I run the predator at stage 1 (45HP) and the Juice at stage 2, Low boost fuel at 3.
I havnt tripped any codes at all, even when bumping the juice up to 5's. Just HOT EGT's!
What are the best ways to cool EGT's? Nitrous or Propane or ???

A bigger or twin turbo'shttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
Nitrous will cool EGT's, its not a fuel, propane is and it can get you a little warmer. PUT SOME NOS TO ER'!
dieselfumes 05-27-2004, 05:58 PM I ran the 100 Predator and the VA on 150. It did nothing but smoke the whole time. I liked it, but the Allison didn't.
