I'm been looking for a crew cab 3500 dually 4x4 with the 6spd. I haven't any luck finding one anywhere. Lots of automatics out there, but not to many sticks. Anyone seen one of these trucks?
Those of you that have the 6spd. How do you like them? Clutches holding up pulling 12,000 lbs? I've got a 30ft high profile 5th wheel that we camp in ten times a year at some state parks. Besides that the truck will be a grocery getter/kid hauler.

I love the 6spd in mine, and you're right, they are a rare bird. You'd probably have to factory order one to get what you want.
The biggest thing I've towed is a 22ft. boat so I can't tell you how it will hold up for 12k lbs, I imagine it would be fine though. I've got 13k miles on mine and wouldn't trade it for an automatic even if the price was the same.

Same here, I have the ZF in my 2500HD and love driving it. The only problem is the apparent weakness of the clutch and flywheel. I have my fingers crossed someone will come out with a decent aftermarket clutch/flywheel setup, although I am not holding my breath.

I have 2800 miles on mine and love it, I have had one good load on it (18,620lbs plus truck) It did awesome. Fuel mileage is consitant at 18.5 combination city/highway.
My advice take the time set down and order what you want. B/C most 6 sp. are strippeed down work trucks. If you order one you can pick and choice what you want.

I have a 2003 GMC 2500HD Duramax with a 6 speed. I use my truck for daily driving and have used it on the farm. I pull a 12 ton siliage wagon from field to farm. I usually need 4 low to get out of the field. my truck has 22,000 miles and 5,000 of those miles have been pulling loads like I described above. No mods to the engine or drive train. I have had no problems with my manual transmissions. I only buy manual trannys for my farm trucks.
I've seen one it is an '02 Ext Cab with a service body on it.

I love the 6. I hate the flywheel, but I have the new # and it seems to be a little stronger. I pull a 30' hillsboro flat with no problem. I just pulled it out of Kansas with a 16' steel stock trailer and a 11' steel truck bed. I used my Quad on the 70 hp level and it rolled with it.
