I had a chance to look at the new SRW 3500 with the LLY. The injectors are right in plain sight like advertised. The filter will be easier to change from the top. The rear spring pack has an extra lief with another flimsy over load above. It also has 265s. Later! Frank

One of my coworkers took delivery of his 3500 SRW yesterday. With 265/75's, the rear sits 2" taller in the rear than my 2500HD and front is 1/2" higher. My torsion bars have been turned up 3 turns. We lined them up and I beat him by approx. 2-2 1/2 lengths in a 1/4 mile. I had juice on #2 and swiss cheesed box w/UNI. When I unplugged the juice, he beat me by about 1-1 1/4 lengths. I drove his truck and the turbo comes in a lot faster than mine @ stock. You can rev it in park and hear it whistle.
For comparison, I also lined mine up with a friend's '02 3500 w/hypertech set on 90, K&N, and homemade 4" exhaust. He beat me by a fender 0-60. He would not run 1/4 mile. He said he was afraid of a ticket. He owns an auto parts shop and sells the hypertechs. Now he is looking into the Edge because he left me out of the hole, but I was pulling on him when we let up. I think he was running in t/h mode and I wasn't. Even though he has the big exhaust, I think it was restricting him somewhat because it is not mandrel bent. Every turn is a welded corner. Man is that thing loud.Edited by: flhrciblueice

Thanks for the info. I would have bought an LLY single-wheel 3500, but they don't offer it in a short box yet. (I was going to buy a extended cab short box).

If the ever do offer the short box version I'll be trading up! Had it been available I would have ordered it. Oh yeah, they need to get some nicer looking wheels and body side molding as well.
