<DIV>What are your trans gauges running at?</DIV>
<DIV>Mine seems to run at around 150-175, can't seem to figure out the lines on that stupid gauge.</DIV>
<DIV>Anyway my temp seemed to increase after going to TranSynd and the bigger pan.</DIV>
<DIV>It's not running hot enough to hurt anything, just wondering what you guys gauges run at.</DIV>
<DIV>I'm still running my cold front so maybe that has something to do with it, but I was running my cold front prior to getting my fluid changed too.</DIV>
<DIV>Eric did a fine job as usual at getting the job done right.</DIV>
<DIV>He also installed a high idle for me, wow is that thing going to come in handy on them cold mornings.</DIV>

John, On a long trip to TX last week, my normal unloaded Trans Temp stayed at about 140-145, excepted for about 70-80 miles where it got up to about 160. That was with a pretty stiff head wind and the rain/juice issue where the pilot injection ceased. BTW I have never fun with the bra on the front. Also, in the summers of AZ climbing out of the Phoenix valley, depending on the hills I have to climb (at the speed limit) I have seen the Trans Temp climb to about 180-190 but it drops as soon as I top the hill to about 150-160.

Do you really think so ??
I'm installing my Mag-Hytec T-pan and was going to change from Mobil to Transynd simply for a drop in temps .... I was hoping for better quality also ...
Have you ran both prier to the ATS Triple Disk installation ?? No doubt these trannys are working but the beast is going to run hotter at 500 rwhp no matter the juice ...
I felt the Transynd would give me a few degrees drop ,but nontheless once the entire tranny gets warm the transfer of heat takes over ...

I added the deep pan(or "standard" as they call it officially) and added transdyn fluid late in 2001. I noticed a steady temp drop of 25 degrees from shallow pan and standard fluid. My trans runs around 150 all the time except when towing through the desert, it will get to 190 when loaded and leaning on it. Has never gone over 200 by the gauge. However, we know how this is plumbed so it has been well over 200 internally......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Mike was running mobil1 before and we recently switched to transynd and after that he added his new pan, I dont know if the new pan helped at all, but the mods may have contributed, or at least I thought. John R's truck is bone stock and he is running hot.... I am confused on this a little

Yea but John R is running with the winter front on. I've noticed that with my winter front on the trans temp moves up on a trip into town where it wouldn't without the front in place. I took my front off last weekend for pulling a trailer and it was warm enough this week that I didn't put it back on. Last night I came home about 15 miles on the highway at 22 degrees outside without the front on and the trans temp never moved.

The winter front will definately contribute to temps in the Allison ...

You all are overlooking one thing.... The only thing we did was add the deep pan and transynd. Nothing else was changed and temp went up
