But my question is what is the best color match for the Grey interior on a 2001?

SEM is the brand name I used and you have to look real close to see diff. the inside of my 2003 is gray and the color of the paint is called LADERA. I used scotch brite to rough the surface, then wiped with rubbing alcohol, lite coates till covered. Sem is popular in most auto paint stores. Do not let them talk you into a paint called MARHYDE. I used SEM on the plastic in my grill to give it a whtie out look and it has survived the oklahoma bugs and high pressure washers. Hopes this helps.

I'd suggest slightly "dulling" it also. Quite often the gloss is overbearing to the surrounding plastic.

I have no gloss out of the SEM. Really you have to look real close to see difference.
