Does anyone know if the '04's are passlock II security? If not what are they. Trying to hook up remote start from viper and seems to need a bypass kit. Their list of passlock II only goes up to 2002......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

Yes it is passlock II.

I have clifford alarm, which is made by DEI ho also makes the viper units. It also has remote start. The alarm works great, but almost everytime I remote start it, the damn factory security light comes on, and stays on until I shut the truck off.

desertdmax, your passlock bypass module isn't set correctly. Bring it back to your installer and he should be able to fix it. This is one of the many reasons I recommend using data bypasses instead of resistance bypasses.
