I like cab lights, just not the three light setup GM now uses. I am thinking of puting a set of the chrome ones on my truck. This is a poor picture, but this may give you an idea what I am talking about. (This was my 89 1/2 ton.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/uploads/Copy_of_Photo0001.jpg

Although I voted yes, I would be leary to add them aftermarket. I know quite a few guys have and some have gone as far as photo's and instructions, but leaks scare the hell out of me.

<DIV>And also remember the roof is the only sheet metal part of your truck that is not galvanized, and it's very thin.</DIV>
<DIV>If you get a leak it will rust very fast.</DIV>

I was thinking about getting some cab lights off a H2. They have 5 which I like better than the 3 and they are just different enough looking to make me consider it. I am not sure if they will work though. Anyone other than me consider these as an option?

I've heard of problems with OEM lights leaking. When I put mine in last weekend, I added some sealant goop to the screws (top and bottom). Then, I tested for leaks with the hose. I even went so far as to look under the headliner to verify no water was getting through. I doubt they go to that much trouble at GM.

Go for it. I really like my new look! (I get tickled every time they flash with the remote lock/unlock!)

I like cab lights- just not the ugly OEM taxi light setup GM has right now ( hope they're listening.) The five separate lights are nicer especially if they don't show much untill they're on in the dark, like the built in lights on the Lund visors.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

I never wanted cab lights, but my truck came with the factory cab lights, and I think they're way too cool not to have. I would much rather have a set of 5 tear drops rather than the 2 tear drops and that goofy big one in the middle, but at night, it looks like 5 anyway. They're still cool...
