Well if no one else will say it...

Welcome northerneagle!

Yea, where on sale. I'm still waffling between RSX 9000's and Bilsteins.

My 97 Z71 with 106,000 miiles still have the stock Bilstiens on ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif they only started getting weak around 90,000 miles.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

Since, my new 2500HD is on it way, I am wondering should I replace the orginal shocks on the new truck with Bilstiens, or use the orignals for a least 20, or 30-thousand miles or so before I replace them with Bilstiens?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

What are most 2500HD owner doing for their shocks?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

I just installed a set of Edelbrocks on my truck just over a week ago. The shocks firmed up the ride a bit and the truck seems to stay in contact with the road better. Anything is better than the factory shock which had 56,000 miles on them. Pics here if interested:

Welcome aboard, now to the good stuff. I'm running Edelbrock Xtreme travels on my HD and absolutely love them, can't beat the zinc coated shock body either. My bud just put on the regular Edelbrock performer IAS shocks and is totally happy with them, could not believe the difference they made.

Thank you kind Sir!

Please 'splain the difference between the two Edelbrock shocks. What should expect of each type?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

I am glad to see some others have put Edelbrocks on their trucks. I love them so far on my truck. The ride is firmer and more stable and they seem to give a little when you hit a patch of rough road. Just like they are supposed to. Don't get me wrong here though, it still drives like a truck that weighs over 2 tons. It is no sports car, and you will still feel all the big bumps....
