Budget being what it is, Im trying to find a good 2001 crewcab shortbox. (and willing to travel to get it!). Lower purchase price = more money for goodies!! (I think it would have to be free to allow completion of the shopping list).


Any tips on what to check out before buying? Injectors seem to be the biggest point of concern, what the best way to inexpensively check them out? Other areas? Thanks in advance...

With GM incentives and low financing rates it might not be that much more to get a new truck. The new LLY has some improvements in parts and power for 2004. A lot of the 2001's I have seen for sale in the lower mainland look like they have been well used and they still want $40,000 Cdn for them.

Well, I bought mine used with 71000kms on it I paid $33450.00 with the tax. That should give you a reference. Injectors had been done already and so was the fuel pump. Oh, and that included the GMPP in the price. The best deal I was able to find. My .02. nick

33450 sounds like a good deal, I would take that! Having a couple of Canadians on the hook here, what is a "good deal" looking like on a new "04? Say crew cab short box 4X4? Bells and whistles are nice but not manditory.
