First off, as a new D-Max owner let me say thanks for all the great info this site has provided. After reading a number of posts regarding good and bad dealerships, I think it would be great if there was thread that listed every dealership the members have used and give them a rating with specific comments. I realize there would be many dealers listed, but if they could be broken down by state or region the information would be invaluable. I personally plan on doing as much maintenance as possible myself, but if I have any warranty issues I'd feel much better going to a reputable dealer. Any ideas?

The only problem with ratings is that there is no standard. If I give a dealer a lower rating, what's to say that is worse than your good rating on another dealer. To be of any use, the ratings would have to be done by the same person. A list of dealers and subjective evaluations might be of use, though. A thread would be too cumbersome to use. Seems like we'd need a special forum or something.

I don't mean a number rating, I'm just saying if a member had a bad experience or a great experience it would be nice to know what dealer he just came from.

i agree with berk...i needed a regular service not long after i adopted my jimmy...i took it to a nearby gmc dealership and have nothing but problems with it since...the maint shop i take it to now is VERY good, and are getting it sorted out...they've not found anything egregious enuf for me to sue the dealership, but i'm really hot...


if there had been a list for my area, i'm sure i wud now be a LOT happier...


i think we need a spot like the maint list broken down by state...however, i don't know how wud set it up, or maintain it...</TD></TR>
