Have ordered 2004 (see Signiture Line) from local dealership. At time of order and deposit I was told he had allocation (learned to ask from reading here, this forum) and was informed yes. Now two weeks later I have been informed that I or he misunderstood, and that only the question "Was it possible to order the Sierra in the special order yellow?" was the only question asked.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif


The Question now is: Should I cut and run, or sit and wait.


The fleet manager still is prommising only a 12 week delivery, and this outfit is the only local dealership I know willing to make all the mods and still honor warantees.

Get all the warranty info in writing.........make them list all Mod's and state in writing that they will honor the warranty unconditionally on all OEM parts as well as all dealer installed parts for the full duration of the 3 yr/ 36K miles.


Or if you buy an extended warranty from them make them honor it for the duration of the extended warranty as well.


If not just because they say they will does not mean they won't screw ya later.

BTW.call around and see if another dealer has one in the system that has not gone to the piont of no changes yet, maybe they can swap the options and colors for you to meet your needs and then you know you have one on the way........

Tony is right about getting things in writing, and it's a valuable consideration. BUT, one of the members here ordered a truck in September of last year, and when January rolled around and still no truck was when he found out the dealer couldn't get one.

I ordered the yellow on mine 2/2/04 and it went through with no problem. I expected it to take longer to build, but as far as I know it was built last week.
