Nice Fire Truck. Our dept is taking delivery of a new E-One next month. Can't wait.

The Duramaximizer raises fuel rail pressure to increase power. Not really the recommended method.

Max,

Yes I was aware about the fuel rail pressure. But I was not sure if other might be interested.

Thats our new GMC 8500, with 330hp V-8 CAT. It is a Ferrara Fire build up. I could have put a pic. of our F-450 brush unit but I do not like it much. It went to the shop 5 times in the first 1200 miles hence my online name "Power Joke Killer".
The GMC has

*1000 gal poly tank
*1250 gpm Waterless pump with a electronic pump interface-:t But it has worked well so far.
*150 gpm aux pump for wildland fires
This engine will never replace our HME but it is quick and is able to handle a larger veriety incidents.

Let me know how you like the E-ONE. I have not yet drove a new one.

I work for a caterpillar dealer and am not aware of a 330 hp engine that would be put into a firetruck what is the model number of the engine in that are you sure thatit is not a 3126 or a C7? the only v8 that would have ever been put into one of those that I'm aware of is a 3208

catman,

That would be cool if you could let me know what engine in has. I was told by the captains of our dept that It was a 330 hp cat. It was supposed to have a 300 hp cat when we ordered it, but when it showed up everone said it had the 330 in it insstead of the 300.

Where would I find the model # at ?

We have a 3208 ( T i belive) in a 80 somthing top kick and it does not even come close in power and it is a lot lighter truck.
