I know, remove them for 265's or 285's, but I am want to run stock for a little bit when I get the truck.

I am looking to get peoples impressions about the stock tires and what one is better to go with.

Thanks, Corey

Mostly I am going to drive it on the highway, back and forth to work (15 miles one way), throw the dirtbike in the back to haul it to the races. Tow a 6x12 trailer here and there, very seldom be off road.

Also the winters here are somewhat decent. It snows everyone once in a while. In the spring time the tracks get a little muddy but most of the time they are not too bad.

Thanks

I thought I would drive the stock tires bald when I got mine this summer. I have the "upgraded OOR black side wall tires" which are the Bridgestone Duravis M773 II. They are crappy. I've locked them up on dry pavement stopping (with no trailer) and have had to use 4WD in places other trucks used 2WD. On the 05 it was a $55 option. I went to the Bstone dealer to trade them in and he could not believe I wanted to do that, as they are $250 ea new!

I dont know much about the non-optional tires for a comparison. for $55 its a good value, but you will want to upgrade quickly.

My duravis are coming apart. It is not serious or a safety concern but I am losing small hunks of rubber out of the tread. I have heard there is a re-call on them but I don't want another set of them. The tires are much too small for the truck. I am big into proportions.

I have had the stock duravis m 773 etc. and they have 8k miles on them and they suck. I have done some mild off-roading just getting to camp spots and such and they have BIG chunks of rubber missing from the edges of the tread where it meets the sidewall. I am thoroughly unhappy with these tires and all the dealer and Bridgestone dealer will say is I abused the tires!!! Well an off-road tire should be able to go off-road and not get chunked up too quickly. It looks like I took the tires rock crawling and we all know there is no chance of taking a stock 2500hd crew cab long bed anywhere near the rocks!!! If yo want to upgrade then find somebody here that will give you some change for the stock tires and get something different. I now have too many miles on mine and by the looks are worthless so I am stuck with them until they wear out.

You may increase your fuel mileage slightly by going to 265's (Highway only)
