Hey all--

I'm having problems with what we think is the NSBU switch in my Alli. I've talked with Mike L. about it, and I'm working on it.

Anyway, this ordeal has made me realize that I need a scanner better than my Predator.

I can't afford a Tech II--out of the question. What's the next best scan tool for our D-Max's?

Is EFILive capable of reading the Alli codes correctly?

I would say EFI Live would be your best bet. However Trippin or DuratotheMax, one of those guys can give you a more in depth answer. What are the problems your having and why does it lead you to believe that it is the NSBU switch? just curious.

EFILive can read and clear fault codes from any module detected on the data bus, that includes the Allison TCM.
Here's what you would see......this is read from a TCM just powered up on a bench.

Cheers,
Ross

That's what I was hoping for...:)!

Thanks for the info, Ross. One more reason for me to get EFILive as soon as funds allow!
