My father has a 95 chevy 3500HD dually truck w/ 11' utility boxes and a 128,000 miles on it. Just recently he had the turbo replaced. Now the tranny (it's a 5 speed manual) has loud grinding when shifting into reverse, and when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Every thing else seems to be alright.


Does he need a new tranny, or does he need to fix something simple. I have no Idea on what's wrong. I have a dmax with alli, so I know nothing about this truck.

Sounds like he has a couple of gears and or sycro's going out. Best bet would be a good tranny shop, if you don't know of one ask the Hot Roders around who they suggest.
