Got a question, maybe one of you has some insight.

My truck has 49,000 miles on it and I have never had a hint of a problem...before Monday. She left me sit and I had it towed to the dealer. Oh well, things break.

I had a hypertech 3 programmer on it for about a month on level 3 and have really been taking it easy. Before the roll back came I installed the stock program.

My dealer says the truck needs a new fuel filter housing. GM will cover it. That is good!

Problem: The fuel filter housing is back ordered and could be 4 to 5 weeks out????? That sucks huge!!!!!!!!!Censored

Question: Would you think there would be any cause or harm that I might have inflicted by adding the programmer to the truck? You understand my question,,,I never had a hint of a problem until shortly after I added the hypertech.

Thanks for any insight,
Johnny

No, the programmer wouldn't have done a thing to the filter housing. I've seen a few leak at the primer pump or crack from the filter being over tightened, so it is not unheard of for one to need replacement. It is also possible the dealer damaged it removing the old filter.

Yeah, ok and thanks. I kind of doubted if that did anything. But just wanted another opinion.

Thanks
