Hello everyone,

As you may know, I'm still searching for a truck and came across one. Its a 2000 Chevrolet 3500 2WD and it has 71K miles on it.

My question is this, did ALL of the 6.5L diesels have Injector Pump problems, or is it certian years? The FAQ document was excellent and gave me allot of information, but it didn't specify if this problem was for all 6.5L diesels or just certian years.

That year will have the updated IP, should last many years if treated right with regular filter changes, fuel conditioner etc..... still never know when the PMD on the IP will fail though.

Thank you for the very quick response. I put in for a VIN request on the vehicle to see what work was done to it. From the pictures, it seems like a really clean looking truck and I plan on putting a bid on it in the next day or two.

Who cares, it's under warrantee still, so you are good? Move the PMD away from the pump and many happy miles will great you.
