I did the check valve removal mod on the stock filter head this evening. I still have to do the test drive and Tech II pressure testing. Here are some photos of the mod:

Not too bad of a job, hopefully it will improve flow some. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

Is there a way to do a gph before/after?

Not hard to tell you don't live in a northern climate that uses salt to melt snow. I could take an identical pic. of under the hood and all you would see is red rust or white salt residue everywhere. Let us know on your tests, should be interesting.

Yep, just yank the spring and ball out. PC, I don't think anyone has really devised a way to test the flow rate yet.

No salt here in GA for sure! This summer will make it three years worth of southern "abuse" too. I do like to keep it clean though. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

I did a quick test drive, everything ran normal. I gotta get my co-pilot for the Tech II runs, not to easy to do the 0 to 100 blasts holding & reading that sucker.
