I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 Hd crew cab with the 6.6 Liter Duramax Diesel and Alison Transmission. I just took delivery of it so it has around 400 miles on it. I was looking for a little more horsepower in the engine and faster shifting in the transmission. I have been told to wait for the new Superchips Programmer to come out but I have'nt seen that one talked about much on this forum. Any thoughts on this Thanks

I've been using the Bully Dog Power-Pup (Model 43568). It gives a "Pretty Good" boost to H.P. in the Tow/Econ mode. A "Hefty" boost in "Competition" mode. (I haven't tried the "Extreme" mode) Both "Seem" to enhance the transmission "Smoothness". (At least it feels like it to me)
I have no experience with the "Other" programmers, etc.
The Power-Pup is (relatively) cheap, and works well (for me) :exactly:

kimosabe,
When you say "enhances the smoothness shifting" do you mean that in a good way or maybe in fact the trans could possibly be slipping?
Thanks for the imput, new to the DP.

It "Seems" to shift smoother (in a good way)... Not "Mushy", more like "Definite" from gear to gear, like someone who knows how to shift with a "Stick"... It just feels better to me... I get a "Chirp" from the tires going from 2nd. to 3rd, with my foot "In It"... I don't know how else to explain it...
I like it. :exactly:

I'm running the Superchips on my 05 and love it. Have not tried any of the others so I can not speak of them. I would recommend the Superchips.
