My father-n-law has asked me to start doing the basic repairs, and services to his 03 dodge. He has had some problems nothing to big with the oil changing monkeys at Wal-mart ie... loose oil filters, 1qt low after oil change, not changing fuel filter when he paid for it, etc... Then his daughter did this. http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59546.
Any way I'm big GM fan, and just wounding what type of service a dodge needs that may be different for a GM diesel mainly a 6.5TD. I'm not worried about working on it, and been doing some reading here about them. One thing I haven't found yet is that the service book said while doing the trans. service you need to check / adjust the bands. I know I can do the fluid / filter change, but is the band adjustment something I can do or better for the dealer / shop to do.
Thank you for the help.
I guess I can say... 6 in a row makes them go :D
